I've tried the firmware reinstall. Thought that might work but didn't. The settings are retained. Yes.feel damn disappointed to know that I can't hard reset the phone myself. It's in the shop now. I'm one who likes to play around with the settings with my gadgets and find myself always doing something I shouldn't be doing.;-) A hard reset always saved the day. Coming from a Sony Ericsson mobile.I always thought the software on it was lacking.
UNTIL I started using this 6300. Sigh Will stick back with SE in future. Kazahskij drajver dlya windows 7.
Firstly, never publish your IMEI number in a public forum. Anyone can come along and report 'their' phone as stolen and have its IMEI blacklisted on any number of mobile networks. Secondly, you cannot reset a S40 phone such as the 6300. You need to take it to a Nokia Care Point along with proof of ownership and they'll do the necessary.
